All Things Animal

My name is Leah, I am currently a senior in high school and I am dedicating this blog to all things animal. My journalism teacher required us to create a blog to establish a stronger prescence on the internet. This project originated as a blog I had to do for class, so I decided to make it on something I am truly passionate about: animals. When I was three my sister brought home a mutt from the shelter and I have been in love ever since. As a child, I always brought home random animals with the intent of keeping them. I visited animal shelters almost every weekend just to see the animals. My favorite activity was going to the dog park with my dog so we could socialize with other neighborhood pets. It is fair to say my love for animals is deep-rooted and has been an aspect of my life since childhood. In this blog, I want to include different aspects of animals. I intend to show the horrible effects of animal abuse, but also highlight the amazing things animals can do. This blog will be mainly focused on domestic animals, although it will include posts on other animals as well. There are so many different aspects of these creatures, and I want to communicate that in my blog. I am an advocate of the fair treatment of animals and i would like to shed some light on these very important issues. Also, domestic animals have served a very important positive role in this world. Animals like guide dogs, therapy animals, and simply outstanding pets will also be featured in this blog. Animals have been such an important aspect of my life, and this blog will be a great way to express that. Through this blog I also hope to connect with other animal lovers who share the same enthusiasm about animals that I do.
